- Coat: long, straight, glassy, raised hair which wraps around the
dog like a muff; often thicker around the neck on males
- Colors: all-white or all-red, with all-champagne acceptable but not preferred
[the red variety is believed to be extinct]
- Temperament: reactive, morbidly attached to the family, wary of strangers,
it has a strong watchdog instinct. Robust and lively.
